Jagmeet Singh’s campaign manager recommends parents make multiple vaccination appointments

Parents can get back-to-back vaccinations appointments for their children — as long as they make multiple appointments and meet in person, NDP leader Jagmeet Singh’s campaign manager Christine Elliott announced on Sunday.

Elliott — a pediatrician with children — made the announcement at the annual Grit for Kids Liberal Rally, a rally for children’s rights and the importance of vaccines in a presentation she called “a celebration of lifesaving, life-saving vaccination.”

Since moving into the Conservative leadership race last week, some have suggested that Singh, who comes from an immigrant family from India, might not have the best command of policy and the policies could fall flat. Elliott’s comments seem to strike at that.

They were one of several ways Elliott offered a tepid endorsement of the party’s current candidate, Justin Trudeau.

In addition to the meeting in Montreal, Elliott spoke at a fundraiser for the party in Ottawa on Sunday.

Many parents don’t make multiple appointments and hold them as one session. My daughters won’t attend school with those kids unless they are vaccinated. It’s hard and costs money.

Later Sunday, Elliott tweeted that she would not be endorsing Trudeau.

“Many parents don’t make multiple appointments and hold them as one session. My daughters won’t attend school with those kids unless they are vaccinated. It’s hard and costs money,” she wrote.
