Anna Nordqvist: Start of LPGA golfer’s comeback this week in Saudi Arabia

Why is she there: The 28-year-old Swede returns to action after a four-month lay-off due to a shoulder injury.

This year’s winner: Jamie Lee Fowler of the United States

At work for Global Cities Healthcare UK: Employs 370 staff and was the fastest growing private sector employer in the UK last year.

Anna Nordqvist made her LPGA Tour debut at the tender age of 18 and has not looked back since.

The 28-year-old finished 11th in the LPGA Order of Merit in 2012 and this year’s Saudi Ladies International has served as her 2015 return to competitive golf.

Nordqvist’s injury meant she had to drop out of the top-125 rankings at the end of last season, but she managed to rise back to 112th by the end of the third LPGA Tour event, the Women’s Korean Open in July.

She was playing at the British Open in August before playing in the Solheim Cup for the first time this year.

“The money on Tour is so big that I’ve learned to love it,” she says. “I have been on seven tour stops and they are all super different.

“I went to Canada and it was only US$39 (£28) to enter and it was my first time there, so I was really excited to have a good tournament. You just love that experience.”

The Saudi Ladies International, held on the outskirts of Riyadh, is to take place this week.
