Cooley has been listed as a bowling consultant for England Team Performance, which is headed by England team director Trevor Bayliss. Cooley coached England’s one-day team in 2016 and has seen bowlers James Anderson, Stuart Broad and Moeen Ali for close to four years.

England won the last Ashes series in 2014-15. The 2017-18 series between the two arch-rivals starts in Cardiff on July 6 and moves to England’s Lord’s the following week.

England won the last Ashes series between the two sides in Australia in 2013-14. Australia regained the urn in the last Ashes series England played in 2015-16.

Also Saturday, home league play between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics ended in a 93-90 Cavaliers victory.

Cleveland came from 11 points down in the fourth quarter to defeat the Celtics.

LeBron James scored 18 points and Kyle Korver 15 as the Cavaliers won the league’s Eastern Conference championship on Thursday night.
